On the morning of January 6th, 2026, the Research Institute for Biotechnology and Environment (RIBE), Nong Lam University Ho Chi Minh City (NLU), held its first briefing meeting of 2026 to review the implementation of assigned tasks in November and December 2025, and to set key priorities for January–February 2026 as well as RIBE’s operational plan for 2026.
At the meeting, Dr. Huynh Van Biet, Director of RIBE, presented a summary report on the activities of NLU and RIBE during the final two months of 2025. The report focused on the implementation of professional tasks, the effectiveness of coordination among units, and progress in executing approved plans. Key tasks were carried out in accordance with the planned schedule, ensuring both progress and quality, thereby providing a solid foundation for the development and implementation of RIBE’s 2026 operational plan.
During the discussion session, staff members exchanged views and provided constructive feedback aimed at improving operational effectiveness. Based on these discussions, RIBE’s leadership reached consensus on key orientations, including appropriate personnel assignment, strengthening training activities, promoting the application of science and technology, and advancing research closely aligned with practical needs.
In his concluding remarks, the Director emphasized the importance of proactive innovation, continuous enhancement of professional capacity, and improved operational efficiency, contributing to the successful implementation of the development strategies of both RIBE and NLU in 2026.
