In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Research Institute for Biotechnology and Environment (RIBE), RIBE hosted a scientific conference entitled:
“Major Diseases of Cavendish Banana (Musa acuminata, Cavendish subgroup) and Application of Microbial Formulations in Disease Management.”
The conference was held on January 9th, 2026, at Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City, and concluded successfully, making significant scientific and practical contributions to plant protection and agriculture sustanability fields.
The conference has drawn strong interest, engagement, and active support from sponsoring organizations, academic circles, regulatory authorities, businesses, and agricultural producers. Throughout two working sessions, ten scientific presentations reported the latest research findings on major diseases affecting Cavendish banana and potential applications of beneficial microorganisms, molecular biology techniques simultaneously, and mechanization in agricultural production.
The presentations emphasized the crucial insights into effective disease management strategies, contributing to the reduction of environmental impacts and striving to the development of a safe, sustainable, and ecosystem-friendly agricultural system.
The Organizing Committee sincerely acknowledges and appreciates the engagement, participation, and valuable contributions – a critical role in the overall success of the conference – of all organizations, scientists, and distinguished delegates.
